چکیده

There are few reports of electrocardiogram (ECG) changes of conus branch occlusion. A conus branch artery supply to the outflow tract of right ventricle. A conus branch artery is considered as the substrate of Brugada syndrome. We report a case of conus branch occlusion during angioplasty with ST segment elevation in V1-3 like Brugada syndrome ECG. We need to bear in mind that this ECG change may cause lethal arrhythmia.

Possible contribution of ischemia of the conus branch to induction or augmentation of Brugada type electrocardiographic changes in patients with coronary artery disease.

Recent evidence suggests an association between vasospastic angina and Brugada syndrome. Here we present two cases of coronary artery disease who presented with ECG abnormalities which might have been provoked or enhanced by ischemia of the conus branch of the right coronary artery. The 12-lead ECGs demonstrated normal sinus rhythm in these two cases. Interestingly, a saddle back or coved type ...

ST-segment elevation in V1-V3 in patients with inferior STEMI: an important sign of right ventricular infarction (reply).

The Authors Reply I thank Dr. Omar for thoughtful comments and appreciate his great interest in our report. As to his suggestion, the electrocardiogram (ECG) showed a characteristic pattern in which the level of ST-segment elevation was reduced from leads V1 to V3. This is certainly different from the ECG pattern of anterior acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Several reports have demonstrated a...

The epicardial electrogram: a quantitative assessment during balloon angioplasty incorporating monophasic action potential recordings.

An electrogram was recorded from the angioplasty catheter guide wire when coronary blood flow was interrupted in 20 patients undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. Monophasic action potentials were recorded from the right ventricular septum together with the routine electrocardiogram. The patients were studied during angioplasty for lesions in the left anterior descending (1...

Value of the bipolar lead CM5 in electrocardiography.

Only bipolar lead recording are available during ambulatory monitoring. Their sensitivity in detecting ST segment changes in relation to standard electrocardiographic leads is not known. The magnitude and direction of ST segment changes in the bipolar lead CM5 were compared with those in standard electrocardiographic leads in patients during exercise testing and percutaneous transluminal corona...

Imaging the periphery of an occluded left anterior descending coronary artery: need for selective conus artery catheterisation.

A 56-year-old man, a current smoker with a history of arterial hypertension and dyslipidaemia, was admitted to our department for a scheduled coronary angiography. Ten days earlier, the patient had been admitted to another hospital for an anterior myocardial infarction, treated with intravenous thrombolysis. The patient’s in-hospital course was reported to have been complicated by an episode of...
